Papa Legba

I have a soft spot in my heart for Papa Legba, an old man with a bum foot who is a guardian of crossroads. I have my own altar for him in my house but I decided to make a second one. It's not quite done yet but here's a peek at it so far.

  1. Oooooh, gorgeous!

I have a question for you: Where would you recommend someone starting out in voodoo get some good quality information? There's so much crap out there, it's hard to filter through. I'm sort of green and hedgey in my magick, and it's something that has held my interest for years (a couple years back I was invited to a Feast of Damballah, but couldn't make it. Unfortunately, since then, the community sort of closed it's doors and I haven't been able to be involved since)

Also, just wanted to let you know: I'm Mae_Kitty on ebay and I got my package today! It's GORGEOUS and full of awesome :D I love everything very much. Thank you!

  2. It seems really difficult to find good voodoo information. I basically buy up whatever books I find on it. Also, it's good to broaden your search with alternate spellings and sort of 'related' topics... vodoun, hoodoo, santeria... they are all different but one good source might point you in the direction your looking for. I don't really adhere to a specific path... I'm just a jumbled up hoodoo workin', wortcunner with a passion for folk magick :) so I'm afraid I don't have a specific place to point you to.

P.S. Hurrah! I'm gald you like your package!!!!
