*sigh* In my head there are loads of lovely things fluttering and floating about. My fingers are having none of it this week. They are refusing to co-operate! I was hoping for a lovely little town and on my first attempt, got instead, a sort of depressing village that looks as though it's about to suffer a very bad storm :P
Do you ever scrap something and just start over? I rarely do. Being a stubborn old mule I chip at it and work away until it all fits together. Not this time. This time I'll make a bigger and better village and I'll show these town folk who's boss!
No! It's not my kid... though he thinks so...
It's ME! Grrrrr.
It could be the quiet little haunted village behind the big new one :D I like it either way. I could never had the patience...lol
ReplyDeleteI like the button by the house in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I quite like this stormy little town!
ReplyDeleteummm...it may not have turned out how you imagined it, but i really love it~ it looks just like my windy stormy foggy island home...perfect
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It might not be what you thought, but it is perfectly wonderful. It is what it is and that is all it needs to be.
ReplyDeleteoh but that sounds like me at times...
ReplyDeleteI love it too! It has a strange, yearning, 'off' quality, like Who-ville built by the Grinch or something. I hope you won't crush this poor village like a peevish giant!
ReplyDeleteAnd those really are the teensiest houses in the whole world. This is one where I'd love to see an action shot of you making them!
i think it's wonderful! it looks enchanting in a dark and stormy way...
ReplyDeleteI have to say you really cracked me up with this. I agree even if it wasn't what you were going for, its pretty cool. But I understand what it's like to have a "vision" and not have it quite meet your expectations. Did you ever read a book (when you were a kid) called "Giants Come In Different Sizes"? That is what this vilage reminds me of - and that's a good thing! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the little village has a personality all its own. It may not be bright and sunny and cheery but the village somehow beckons for one to enter and see what stories are behind those doors....
ReplyDeleteI've kind of given up on trying to make my arts & projects go as planned... They never do, but they still always turn out as a creation with it's own spirit.
ReplyDeleteI, too, love this stormy little village! Sometimes we need to let go & let things create themselves. ^-^ Mayhap your next wee village will be a sunnier place, but if not, it will still be an amazing & wonderful place to be!
XOXO
