Our wallets are empty and things have been pretty damned tight lately, still, we know we are blessed.

Our girls give us fresh eggs daily, and are kind enough to consider our leftovers treats.

Our pumpkin harvest wasn't all we thought it would be, but it's plenty for us.

Our sauce is made, our salsa preserved, our soup is cooked... and still there are MORE tomatos.

It looks as though we'll be buying potatoes sooner than we had hoped...

... but we never expected a sweet potato harvest at all!

Our garden so overflowed that we shared the harvest with our neighbours.

We even had one or two of visitors to the garden...

"When my bankroll is getting small,
I think of when i had none at all,
and i fall asleep counting my blessings"

Wise words Bing.

  1. OMG!!! Those pumpkins!!! They are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope we will get ones next year :) Thats the beauty of spring! Fruits and vegetables everywhere!!!

  2. What a gorgeous gorgeous harvest, congratulations!

  3. A beautiful sentiment, something we could probably all use a reminder of from time to time. That being said, Damn, that's a lot of pumpkins! And tomatoes! It seems your garden was full of delicious surprises this year. :)

  4. You totally just made my day! Though now I am going to have Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep in my head all night. ;)
