I've hustled, avoided all housework, and managed to get my little corner done. Are you ready? I think you're going to like it...
"The Wandry Room" just like a boring laundry room... only for fairy wands and wings.
Inside! I am smitten. I can't hardly believe I made it with my own stubby hands :) There's a lot going on in there. Including a bottled magic, soap, baking soda, wand and wing starch, bars of soap, buckets, and a wandry machine for getting tough wand stains.
There's even suds in the tiny sink.
A wee little plug.
Maybe the plumbing needs to be checked? There's some extra wand parts being stored under the sink.
In case you were worried, the owner of this fine establishment is certified.
A teeny wand repair manual c. 1978 in the tool tub on the shelf.
To properly clean wands and wings you need bubbles. Lots and lots of bubbles.
Sometimes magic spills a bit here and there. You can see some freshly cleaned wands drying on the left.
There's some other care manuals tucked here and there too.
And here are some wings and wands tagged and ready to be picked up.
Finally a shot with my grubby hand to give you a good idea of the size. It measures 7" x 8" x 4". I used one of my Corner Box as the base. Here are some of the other products I used:

ReplyDeleteI am just now seeing this piece, and am absolutely Moon-Struck. Seriously, just can't find the words to describe the magic of this piece of miniature art.
ReplyDeleteThis is.....wanderful, magical, magnificent and simply makes my heart sing with joy and delight! I am a fellow Fairy addict and have been creating lots of miniature houses and scenes (parks, Fairy caravan, Wand and Magic Spells shop) over the last year or so and am always mesmerized by your creations!
ReplyDeleteI will never be as creative and talented as you are but am happy with how far I have grown since creating my first Fairy house for the Village!
I started making Fairy Doors around the same time and have a few around my house
so that the Fairies have a way in and out. My 11 and 7 year old grandsons and 4 year old granddaughter love opening the doors that they can reach to see if a Fairy is hiding behind it when they are here. I also have one on the ceiling and
higher up on the walls and have made a few for my son to put around his house so the boys can have a better chance of seeing a Fairy one day! They love it and I love that they are so open to the world of Fairies.
The other night we were at their house for dinner and were outside when I found a stick that was perfect for a Fairy scene, my 7 year old grandson told me it was his stick and I told him I was going to use it for the Fairies. He then told me I could have it and that he was so glad that I made "stuff" for the Fairies to be able to come into our home. I almost cried because it was so sweet!
Sorry to have written a novel!! Have a great weekend and please never stop creating such magical Fairy creations!
lol I do like novels so no apology! Dont' ever compare yourself to someone else, especially me. EVERYONE starts somewhere and time and dedication make masters of us all. You'll have ideas that I would never in a million years dream up! So make sure that YOU keep making and creating too <3
DeleteCongrats on getting published and being on the cover of the mag! Pretty awesome, lady!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! A magical amazing accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you, Nichola!
