Just something small and sweet today.
I think this will be a perfect thing to abandon with a note of holiday cheer.
The dome has been in my stash for quite a long while. THIS little tree was coloured green and dusted with some faux snow. The house is one which was pit fired in my back garden. And the gold is a snip from one of these dresden trims.
On top, a little bow with ribbon from THIS set, with a tiny snip of green and some colour from this Fancy Red Holly Berries Mix.
Ta dahhh! How's YOUR holiday cheer chugging along?
Very cheery here indeed! We just got our Nobel Fir home yesterday and some twinkly star lights for the windows. So it's beginning to feel verrrrrry spirited here and a cold snap early next week along with some early holiday baking (especially the traditional baking of St. Lucie Cats on the 13th!!) will certainly help with the coziness. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely little scene Nichola! You know, after the holiday, there is going to be a let down after receiving a daily "gift" from Pixie Hill of such whimsy and delight!
I have two of those cupcake domes on a pedestal glass things that I have been threatening to do little Christmas scenes in for at least four years
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me. If I can find them under the dust I am playing with them today.
This is so sweet and old fashioned and what a nice little gift it would make. I wish I had grabbed more of those cupcake things when I saw them bc they were only 2.99 a piece! Ugh
And where are those legions of snow peeps you had on fb yesterday hmmm? I love snow peeps
Snow peeps are on todays post (December 4th) AND there's a tutorial for those fellows too! Hope you post your own Christmassy domey doodle!
DeleteThank you! And a tute! Yay!
DeleteI love this - everything you do I want to do - I mean like everything! Is that a miniature cake stand? I want it!!!!

Where did you purchase the small cupcake dome and glass?
ReplyDeleteI got them from alphastamps.com but it doesn't look like they are in staock any more.
DeleteAnd Holly mine came from a salvage store here in Maine called Mardens. That is why I have kicked myself for not grabbing more.
DeleteThat was at the height of cupcake mania so I would try a bakers shop.
Maybe Alpha Stamps will get more. I wish they would!
excellent,thank you
ReplyDeleteOkay - I am really wanting to know - pluessse! Where did you get the cake stand - from Alpha Stamps. You definitely should be on their pay roll. I bought the whole shebang after seeing you old timey hearse - what a beauty!

Okay Sugar - I found some - they are plastic but that is fine by me if they look good. I love your stuff as you well know! I love your miniatures Nicola and have bought from your Etsy store and have your directions for doing mini tea cup scenes!
